I know it’s kind of insane and not cost-effective to make your own tortilla chips, but somehow I feel less guilty making my own than buying them. And bonus!, they are good.
This is kind of a loose recipe, so I haven’t listed amounts for the ingredients. That way you can adjust based on your tastes and how many chips you want.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Chop tortillas into sixths.
Toss with canola oil, salt, smoked paprika, and cayenne. Don’t overdo it on the oil.
Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Bake until firm and chip-like (about 15 minutes).
